30 before 30

I recently turned 27 and realised that I'm now closer to 30 than 20 and I have decided to make the journey to my 30's as memorable as possible - I don't want to look back with regrets so I've compiled a list of 30 things to do before I turn 30. I might not achieve all of these as a lot of them include travelling which can be expensive but at least it'll give me some goals to work towards and something to look forward to in the future without getting bogged down about heading towards my 30's!!

1. Run a 5K - Completed 4th August 2012 as part of The Boring Runner's Sweat Your Thorns Off 5k, Time 35mins 36secs

2. Run a 10K
3. Run a half marathon
4. Complete a triathlon
5. Buy a house
6. Spend quality time with friends
7. Spend quality time with family
8. Learn to do the splits
9. Reach my goal weight
10. Become a Chartered Engineer
11. Become a Senior Engineer
12. Complete my Offshore Training
13. Go Offshore
14. Take Paul to Canada
15. Take Paul to Easter Island to see those funky head things
16. Go to Hawaii
17. Learn to Snowboard
18. Go to Alton Towers
19. See the Northern Lights
20. Swim with Dolphins
21. Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge
22. Walk the West Highland Way
23. Spend New Years Eve in New York
24. Swim the Channel
25. Travel some or all of Route 66
26. Take more photographs
27. Wear a bikini and feel good in it
28. Go Horse Riding
29. Get Grade 8 in the Saxophone
30. Take a Music Composition course

As you can see it's a total random mixture but that's the kind of person I am - part logical engineer, part head in the clouds dreamer!!

  1. I LOVE your idea of 30 before 30! I am 29 and will be having another birthday in March. You have inspired me to make my own 30 before 30 list! Thank you Hannah and best of luck to you in accomplishing as many as you possibly can!

    1. Thanks - I'm such a dreamer and have so many ideas of what I want out of life and although a lot of them are great simply as dreams I didnt want to get older and realise I've spent my life wishing I could have done something instead of actually getting out there and doing it!
I look forward to seeing your list and seeing you complete them

    2. Thanks! I am working on my list now and I should have it posted sometime next week.
